Ryan Kalember

EVP, Cybersecurity Strategy, Proofpoint

With 20 years of experience in the information security industry, Mr. Kalember currently leads cybersecurity strategy for Proofpoint and is a sought-out expert for leadership and commentary on breaches and best practices. His global team of security experts ensures that Proofpoint’s customers have consistent insight into the attacks that target their people and the best defenses they can implement to mitigate them.

Mr. Kalember joined Proofpoint from WatchDox where he served as chief product officer, leading the development of pioneering data-centric security solutions through to the company’s acquisition. Previously, Ryan ran solutions across HP’s portfolio of security products, was director of product strategy at ArcSight, and held a variety of positions at VeriSign, including EMEA regional manager and senior product manager. Early in his career, Ryan was a security practitioner, helping build many leading security organizations and security operations centers (SOCs) around the world. He received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University, where he studied fault tolerance, cryptography, and authentication algorithms.

Throughout his career, Ryan has provided cybersecurity counsel to global government delegations including Jordan, North Macedonia, Peru, and Spain, and is a board member of the US National Cyber Security Alliance and the Cybersecurity Technical Advisory Board. As a result, he is a go-to source for breaking security news, regularly providing insight to Sky News, CBS This Morning, BBC News, Bloomberg, Bloomberg Radio, CNBC, Forbes, Fortune, NBC Nightly News, USA Today, WIRED, Vox, and The Economist.

Mike Bailey

Manager, Product Marketing, Proofpoint

Mike has over 8 years experience in the cybersecurity industry. He started at Wombat Security and helped grow it into a 6x Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Security Awareness. After Proofpoint’s acquisition of Wombat in 2018, he’s focused on helping customers build successful people-centric security programs and now manages the product marketing team for Proofpoint’s core threat protection portfolio. He has presented and spoken about cybersecurity on various panels, webinars, and in-person presentations. Mike has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Keith Bird

SVP, EMEA Sales, Proofpoint

“With over 30 years’ experience across the IT and security industry, Keith Bird is Senior Vice President for Europe, Middle East & Africa at Proofpoint. He is responsible for organizational growth and strategy across an important theatre for the company, as well as the definitive positioning of Proofpoint as a leader in people-centric cybersecurity solutions and expertise.
Prior to joining Proofpoint, Bird was Vice President of UK & Ireland at F5 Networks, where he was responsible for the growth of the vendor’s application security, cloud application deployment and service provider business in the UK and Ireland. He has also held senior general and regional leadership positions at Symantec, Check Point Software Technologies, and SonicWall.
Early in his career, Bird founded two companies, and brings with him decades of technology and cybersecurity experience as well as expert knowledge of the EMEA channel landscape, from positions at Extreme Networks and EDS Group.”

Ashan Willy

CEO, Proofpoint

Ashan Willy was appointed CEO in March of 2022. Prior to that he led Product Management, Engineering and Threat Research for the Proofpoint Security Products and Services Group. He also previously led Global Systems Engineering, Customer Success and Renewals for Proofpoint.

Mr. Willy brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in engineering, product management, worldwide strategy and planning in global markets to his role. Prior to Proofpoint, he led teams at Webex, Juniper, Polycom and Cisco. Mr. Willy holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University in California and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. He also holds a CCIE, among other industry designations.

Andrew Rose

Resident CISO , Proofpoint

“Andrew joined Proofpoint from Mastercard, where he was the Chief Security Officer of their subsidiary firm, Vocalink, a firm which provides the transactional backbone of the financial services industry in the UK.
Prior to that Andrew held CISOs roles at the UK’s Air Traffic Control provider, NATS, and two top tier global law firms, Allen & Overy LLP and Clifford Chance LLP. In between these roles, Andrew was a Principal Analyst at Forrester Research where he covered the role of the CISO and Security Culture & Awareness as two of his specialty areas.
Andrew was recognized as “European CISO of the year” in 2018, listed as part of “CSO30” in 2020 and has previously won awards for devising and leading the “Best security awareness program” in 2015.
Andrew holds a Master’s degree in information security, is a regular speaker at global security conferences and has contributed to media outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the Washington Post, Wired magazine and the Times newspaper. Andrew also appeared in the CNBC documentary entitled “Rise of the Machines””.”

Adenike Cosgrove

VP, Marketing EMEA, Proofpoint

“Adenike (Nikki) Cosgrove is the Cybersecurity Strategist for international markets at Proofpoint, where she drives product marketing strategy across European and Asia Pacific markets. She provides expertise on key regional cybersecurity strategies such as people-centric security, risk management, data privacy, and compliance.
Prior to joining Proofpoint, Ms. Cosgrove was global product marketing lead for Email Fraud Protection at Return Path, a division acquired by Proofpoint in the summer of 2016. Earlier in her career, Ms. Cosgrove worked as a lead EMEA advisor to security and risk professionals for Forrester Research and Canalys, where she developed a deep understanding of CISO challenges, and helped clients with their cybersecurity strategies.
Ms. Cosgrove is a regular speaker at key conferences including the Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit in the US and Japan, the Evanta CIO Executive Summit, it-sa Germany, ISMS Spain and Hacking Human Nature live. Ms. Cosgrove’s subject matter expertise has also been featured in Business Reporter, Computer Business Review, Computing, Forbes, Intelligent CISO, SC Magazine UK, GovInfo, and iTWire.

Patrick Gaul

Executive Director, National Technology Security Coalition

Patrick D. Gaul is the Executive Director of the National Technology Security Coalition (NTSC), a non-profit, non-partisan organization focused on driving the national dialogue on technology security in the United States.

Patrick has had a distinguished career with an exceptional record of management performance and achievements in building corporate value. Patrick has extensive international experience and has developed strong multicultural abilities through working, living, and traveling around the globe – including the Middle East, the Far East, Western and Eastern Europe and North America. He is an industry leader and subject matter expert in technology products and services, proficient in all aspects of the Internet.

Patrick began his career in the technology industry in 1976 after nine years in the United States Marine Corps where he was awarded several commendations including National Defense Service Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon and a Purple Heart for his service in the Republic of South Vietnam. Mr. Gaul then spent nearly twenty-six years with AT&T and Infonet Services Corporation across the globe including assignments in Japan, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Belgium before returning to the USA in late 2003 to head up an Atlanta-based web-hosting and interactive marketing firm.

For the past decade, Mr. Gaul has served as a private consultant working with start-ups and smaller companies across several industries including Customer Intelligence, Market Research, Software Quality Assurance and Cybersecurity. Throughout his career, he has held senior positions in sales, marketing, and channel management.

Mr. Gaul attended the Executive MBA Program at the Edinburgh Graduate School of Business from 1999 to 2002. He served on the Board of Directors of the Technology Association of Georgia for 9 years, was the Chair in 2014 and the Vice Chair in 2013. He is married to Kathryn Gaul, who he met during his time in the UK. Kathryn is a Principal at the Atlanta Ballet. They have three children and two grandchildren and live in Atlanta.

John Katko
U.S. Congressman, (R-NY)

Congressman John M. Katko was first elected to represent the 24th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives in November 2014. He was re-elected for a fourth term in November 2020. Deneen DeFiore

VP and CISO, United Airlines

Deneen is an accomplished technology and risk management executive with experience across multiple critical infrastructure sectors. She has developed expertise in advising global companies and their most senior executives on technology, cybersecurity, compliance, and digital risk decisions related to products, services, significant initiatives, and ongoing operations.

Deneen currently serves as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at United Airlines. She is responsible for leading the cybersecurity organization to ensure the company is prepared to prevent, detect, and respond to evolving cyber threats; as well as initiatives on commercial aviation cyber safety risk, improving cyber resilience, and representing United in working with international partners to reduce cyber safety risk world-wide across the aviation ecosystem. Prior to joining United, Deneen held roles of increasing responsibility across multiple GE business units, including: Aviation, Corporate, Digital and Power. Most recently, she held the position of Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information and Product Security Officer at GE Aviation.

Deneen serves as the Chair of the board of the Aviation Information Sharing Analysis Center and the Chair of the Airlines for America (A4A) Cybersecurity Committee. She is a board member of the Internet Security Alliance and also serves on the advisory board of CyLon, a venture capital firm.

She has received many industry awards & honors, including being recognized as one of the Top 100 Global CISOs of 2017 and 2020. She is an inductee of 2021 CSO Hall of Fame for her work advancing the CSO/CISO role, securing businesses, and inspiring others in the industry. Deneen is frequently featured at industry and trade conferences as well as in media for her expertise and thought leadership in cybersecurity, digital, technology risk, and building & leading high performing diverse organizations. Alan is a sought-after evangelist and advocate of cybersecurity who is recognized for his ability to synthesize and simplify the complex using humor and storytelling. Jeremy is a trusted data protection thought leader — published author, blogger, public speaker, and advisor to clients and formerly to public and private equity investors.
Alex Lei

SVP, APJ Sales, Proofpoint

Alex Lei is responsible for leading the overall Asia-Pacific and Japan business, driving customer acquisition and developing the regional partner ecosystem in a strategically important region for Proofpoint. Based out of Singapore, Mr Lei joins Proofpoint from Dell EMC, where he was Vice President of Data Protection Solutions, having previously held senior regional leadership positions at FireEye and Symantec. Mr. Lei brings over 20 years’ experience from the IT and cybersecurity industries, with a track record of driving channel-first sales organisations and aligning go-to-market strategies to customer needs in fast-moving environments.
